Scarlett Johansson is Mary Queen of Scots
Scarlett Johansson has signed to play the title role in Mary Queen of Scots.
The film depicts the antagonistic relationship between Queen Mary of Scotland and Queen Elizabeth I of England, who tried to undermine her rule. There is currently no director attached to the project. Shooting is expected to begin by the end of summer 2007.
Johansson is currently in theaters with The Black Dahlia. She is currently filming The Other Boleyn Girl with Natalie Portman. She returns to theaters next month in The Prestige with Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale.
