Jerry Lewis Voicing Animated Nutty Professor
The Weinstein Co. has acquired the rights to produce an animated version of The Nutty Professor with Jerry Lewis attached to lend his voice to at least two characters in the project.
Lewis starred in, wrote, directed and produced a series of films for Paramount in the 1960s including 1963’s The Nutty Professor. The rights to several of the films eventually reverted back to him. He licensed the rights to Nutty Professor to Universal for its 1996 remake starring Eddie Murphy. The rights have since reverted back to him allowing for the deal with the Weinstein Co.
