Bloom Joins Seasons of Dust
Orlando Bloom will star with Kate Bosworth in Seasons of Dust written and to be directed by Tim Blake Nelson.
In the movie, set in the dog days of The Great Depression, Bosworth plays Janey, a woman who takes refuge with a farm family after her grandfather commits suicide. When the son tries to rape her, she injures him badly. Not knowing whether he is dead or alive, she flees and ultimately takes up with Ricky (Bloom), a dashing crook who is also on the lam. With the law and two hired hitmen hot on their trail, Janey and Ricky try to stay one step ahead in a frantic cross-country odyssey. But it’s a journey that seems destined to end in tragedy. Production is scheduled to begin in July.
Bloom stars next week in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.
