Gregory Smith is Closing the Ring
Gregory Smith will star with Christopher Plummer and Shirley MacLaine in Closing the Ring.
The story centers on a WWII pilot who crashes near Belfast and asks the man who finds him to return his ring to his girlfriend in America. A man finds the ring half a century later, learns its history and tracks down the girlfriend. Richard Attenborough will direct from a story written by Peter Woodward. Smith will play the young Plummer role while Mischa Barton has been cast as the younger version of MacLaine’s character. Also starring are Neve Campbell, Brenda Fricker and Pete Postlethwaite.
Filming begins this month in Canada and Ireland.
