Sean Astin Plays The Final Season
Sean Astin and Powers Boothe will star in the sports-themed indie The Final Season.
The movie is based on the true story of the Norway, Iowa, high school baseball team that overcame daunting odds to become a powerhouse in the sport for more than two decades. Art D’Alessandro wrote the screenplay.
Astin’s credits include The Goonies and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. He next appears with Adam Sandler in this summer’s Click. Powers Boothe last appeared in Robert Rodriguez’ Sin City.
