William Hurt Joins Vantage Point
William Hurt is in negotiations to play the U.S. president in Vantage Point.
The Rashomon-style thriller depicts the attempted assassination of the president from five different points of view. Dennis Quaid and Matthew Fox will play secret service agents. Pete Travis is directing from a script by Barry Levy.
Hurt most recently starred in A History of Violence. His upcoming credits include Mr. Brooks with Kevin Costner and Demi Moore and Robert De Niro’s The Good Shepherd.
