Russell Crowe in Tenderness
Russell Crowe will star in director John Polson’s Tenderness.
The independent thriller follows a violent teenager named Eric whose life intertwines with a 16-year-old runaway named Lori who can’t resist his charm. Crowe will play a cop who sets out to unravel Eric’s complex past. The story was adapted by Emil Stern from the novel by Robert Cormier.
Crowe will shoot the project in May before heading into production on Universal’s American Gangster in July, and then Baz Luhrmann’s untitled period epic with Nicole Kidman early next year.
