Shohreh Aghdashloo Joins Nativity
Shohreh Aghdashloo will play St. Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist in New Line’s Nativity.
The story will focus on the events leading up to the birth of Jesus, including Mary’s visit with Elizabeth while both were pregnant. Keisha Castle-Hughes has already been cast as the Virgin Mary. Catherine Hardwicke is set to direct from a script by Mike Rich. Shooting is scheduled to begin in May in Italy and Morocco.
Aghdashloo was nominated for an Oscar for House of Sand and Fog. Her upcoming credits include X-Men: The Last Stand and The Lake House.
