Amber Tamblyn in The Grudge 2
Amber Tamblyn will take the lead in Columbia Pictures and Ghost House Pictures’ The Grudge 2.
In the horror sequel, Tamblyn will play the younger sister of Sarah Michelle Gellar’s character from the first film. The sequel delves into the secrets behind the grudge’s wrath and introduces a seemingly unrelated host of new characters who find themselves connected by the curse. Arielle Kebbel and Teresa Palmer also have been cast playing American schoolgirls in Tokyo.
It was previously announced that Gellar would return for a brief appearance, long enough to pass on the movie’s supernatural curse. Also returning for the sequel are director Takashi Shimizu, writer Stephen Susco and producer Sam Raimi.
