Hugh Jackman is the Rebound Guy
Twentieth Century Fox has acquired the romantic comedy pitch Rebound Guy as a potential starring vehicle for Hugh Jackman.
Jennifer Robinson and Dyanne Stempel will write the script about a carousing bachelor who only dates girls on the rebound, secure in the knowledge that they never want a serious relationship after a long commitment. When he falls in love with a girl on the rebound, he inserts a “rebound guy” in front of him and positions himself as the real guy.
Jackman, who will also serve as producer on the project, is currently filming X-Men 3 for director Brett Ratner. From there, he’ll segue into Christopher Nolan’s The Prestige opposite Christian Bale.
