Despite five new entries in the weekend’s top films, nothing could oust Harry Potter Potter and the Goblet of Fire, as the boy-wizard conjoured another $54.9 million from Friday-Sunday to lead the box office. After 10 days of release, Goblet of Fire has earned in excess of $201 million.

The Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line dropped only 11% from last weekend, bringing in another $19.2 million, good for 2nd at the box office. After 2 weeks of release, the movie has earned $54.7 million.

Surprisingly, the Dennis Quaid/Rene Russo family comedy Yours, Mine and Ours was the top new release this weekend, landing in 3rd spot with $17.5 million. Since opening Wednesday, the movie has earned $24.5 million.

In 4th, Disney’s Chicken Little continued to bring in the crowds, with $12.4 million. After 4 weeks of release, the movie has tallied $118 million in ticket sales.

Somewhat disappointingly, Christopher Columbus’ big screen adaptation of the stage musical Rent opened in 5th with $10.7 million. The movie, which many had considered to be an Oscar hopeful, opened to mixed reviews.

The guy-in-a-fat-suit comedy Just Friends, starring Ryan Reynolds, Amy Smart and Anna Faris, brought in $9.2 million, good enough for 6th.

Jumping a few spots to 7th place, Pride and Prejudice starring Keira Knightley opened on another 1,000+ screens and reaped the benefits with another $7 million in ticket sales, bringing its 3-week total to $15.9 million.

In 9th, In The Mix starring R&B artist Usher tanked with $4.5 million. A quick look at Rotten Tomatoes reveals that, out of 11 reviews, the movie scored 11 “Rotten” reviews. Ouch.

In 10th, the John Cusack and Billy Bob Thornton in The Ice Harvest brought in $3.7 million.

Next weekend’s only “big” release will be Aeon Flux starring Charlize Theron.
