Garner will star in the erotic thriller Sabbatical for Touchstone Pictures. The story follows a couple that hits the doldrums in their seventh year of marriage. To inject some life into their union, they decide to take a two-week sabbatical from each other during which, within a set of rules, they can do whatever they want. When the wife returns to the agreed-upon meeting place two weeks later, however, she discovers that her husband has disappeared.
Garner’s TV show, Alias, is currently getting clobbered in the TV ratings after getting moved the Thursday evenings. With Garner set to give birth to the spawn of Affleck within the next little while, the plan is for Alias to go on hiatus in January.
