Jennifer Connelly in The Blood Diamond
Jennifer Connelly is in negotiations to star opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in The Blood Diamond.
The dramatic thriller centers on a poor African farmer who gets caught up in a conflict between an American diamond smuggler (DiCaprio) and the syndicate that controls the local diamond mining industry.
Edward Zwick will direct the movie for Warner Bros. The studio is eyeing locations in Africa to begin shooting early next year.
Connelly recently completed work on Todd Field’s Little Children.
