Zellweger is Beatrix Potter
Renee Zellweger will star in the Beatrix Potter biopic Miss Potter with Ewan McGregor is in talks to play Norman, Potter’s publisher and love interest.
Miss Potter explores the life of the author of such beloved children’s books as “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” and her struggle for independence in Victorian England. The movie will mix live-action with some animated elements. Chris Noonan will direct from a script by Richard Maltby Jr. Shooting is scheduled to begin on location in the U.K. in March.
Zellweger most recently starred opposite Russell Crowe in Universal’s Cinderella Man. She’ll next lend her vocal talents to DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming Bee Movie, with Jerry Seinfeld.
