Christina Ricci in ’Penelope’
I’m not the biggest fan of Christina Ricci – and I probably never will be. She’s okay, I guess. I just wouldn’t rush to the theater to see her. So, news that she’s signed for a new movie only makes me say “Meh”.
Ricci will play the title character in Penelope, a drama about a woman who sets out to end her life-long streak of bad luck. Reese Witherspoon, who will serve as producer on the pic, will also take a supporting role.
Mark Palansky will direct from a script by Leslie Caveny. A January start in Canada is being planned.
Ricci was last in theaters with Cursed. The trailer for Reese Witherspoon’s latest, the Johnny Cash-biopic Walk the Line, debuted last night. You can check it out here.
