Sarandon/Fiennes are ’Doris and Bernard’
Susan Sarandon and Ralph Fiennes are in final negotiations to star in Bob Balaban’s Doris and Bernard.
The movie will tell the story of tobacco billionairness Doris Duke and her butler. It will focus on the latter part of Duke’s life and her relationship with her gay Irish butler, Bernard Lafferty, to whom she left her entire fortune.
Shooting on the picture is expected to begin in New York this October from a script by Hugh Costello.
Sarandon can be seen later this year in Elizabethtown with Orlando Bloom. Next up for Fiennes is The Constant Gardener.
