Jordana Brewster in ’Texas’ Prequel
Bloody Disgusting has learned that Jordana Brewster has signed to star in New Line’s upcoming prequel to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
According to the site, Brewster will likely play the lead role. From what we already know, the lead role is a character named Constance. In the movie, she’s on her way to Mexico to celebrate with her sister when she runs into Leatherface and family.
Jonathan Liebesman will direct for New Line and Platinum Dunes. Shooting will likely begin in the coming months for a fall 2006 release.
Most will recognize Brewster from 2001’s Fast and the Furious. She took time off after that film to attend Yale University where she graduated in 2003. (Her grandfather was a former President of Yale University.) Brewster was most recently on the big screen in D.E.B.S..
