Laurence Fishburne Joins ’M:I 3’
One way or another, they were going to get somebody from the Matrix to star in M:I 3.
When it was scheduled to go into production last year, Carrie-Anne Moss was to star opposite Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible 3. After being delayed for more than a year, Moss dropped out and word today that Laurence Fishburne will join the cast, which now includes Cruise, Ving Rhames, Michelle Monaghan, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Keri Russell and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Cruise and Rhames are the only members of the cast to have appeared in any of the previous films.
In the sequel, Fishburne will play Cruise’s mentor. Hoffman will play the villain.
M:I-3 is set to start shooting July 18th in Italy and will shoot on location throughout the world. J.J. Abrams will direct.
