Wes Craven Producing ’The Waiting’
All anybody does these days is produce. Every day, seventy-five percent of what I read is news about somebody producing a movie. And at times it seems nobody is busier than Wes Craven. So, it should come as no surprise to read today that Craven is attached to another project.
Wes Craven’s Craven/Maddalena Films will team with Gold Circle Films to produce the independent horror The Waiting. Craven will serve as executive producer.
The movie is described as being in the vein of ’70s horror staples like Don’t Look Now and Rosemary’s Baby. It follows the story of a woman who believes she is being haunted by the ghost of her deceased child.
The movie is written by Juliet Snowden and Stiles White, who most recently collaborated on the script for Boogeyman.
Craven and Maddalena recently completed production on DreamWorks’ Red Eye. That movie, starring Rachel McAdams and Cillian Murphy, opens August 5th.
