’Blood and Chocolate’ Casting
Olivier Martinez, probably best known to North American audiences as the the man who banged Diane Lane in Unfaithful, has landed a starring gig in MGM’s werewolf movie Blood and Chocolate. (Although it’s likely the movie will eventually be released by Sony, who recently bought out the good folks at MGM.)
Agnes Bruckner will star as the werewolf. Unlike Martinez, Bruckner may not be recognizable to anyone. Her resume includes such films as Stateside and the upcoming chiller The Woods. Rest assured though. I saw her last year in Haven opposite Orlando Bloom (which, it seems, will never see the light of day) and I can attest to the fact that she’s, well, easy to look at.
The movie, based on the Annette Curtis Klause novel, tells the sordid tale of a female teenage werewolf who has spent her life trying to hide the fact that she is part wolf. She must choose between her love for a human and her pack family after her relationship with a visitor threatens to expose her secret.
Ehren Kruger adapted the novel for the screen. Katja von Garnier will direct.
